OCPA Makes Five Key Hires
IRVINE, Calif. (June 14, 2022) – Orange County Power Authority (OCPA) announced today the hiring of Owen Lee, Controller; Susan Davison, Data Analyst; Steven Halligan, Management Analyst; and Andrea Warner and Andrew Di Giovanna, Business Relationship Managers.
“The combined wealth of community choice energy (CCE), financial management and stakeholder outreach experience these professionals bring is invaluable to OCPA as we move forward in of our mission to provide cleaner energy to businesses and residents,” stated Brian Probolsky, CEO of Orange County Power Authority. “We are confident that their knowledge and expertise will benefit OCPA and the customers we serve.”
Owen Lee, CPA, Controller, comes to OCPA from Central Coast Community Energy in Monterey, Calif. and brings 12 years of experience working in financial forecasting and budgeting, as well as financial modeling and accounting. He has a solid understanding of energy business fundamentals including cost of energy, load forecast and utility rate schedules. As Controller, Lee will be responsible for performing the full range of professional accounting, auditing, budgeting, rates, and data analytics duties. He will also deploy business intelligence skills to design and develop OCPA’s data analytics platform. Lee holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Susan Davison, AICP, Data Analyst, also comes from Central Coast Community Energy where she was involved in community planning, marketing and financial analysis. With more than a decade of experience in public sector management positions creating cost-effective programs for energy efficiency initiatives, Davison will carry out complex and sophisticated analyses of OCPA rates, customer account services and load forecasting. Davison carries a master’s degree in urban planning from University of California, Los Angeles.
Steven Halligan, Management Analyst, brings more than a decade of strategic management experience to OCPA where he is responsible for research, administrative, operations, financial, and analytical duties. His expertise interpreting research data and his sharp sense of business acuity are key assets. Prior to OCPA, Halligan held a variety of roles with the County of Orange, most recently he worked as Manager of Strategic Projects. Halligan holds an MBA with a concentration in finance.
Andrea Warner, Business Relationship Manager, has more than 18 years of sales and business management experience across diverse organizations. Her keen understanding of the business landscape is key in her role, working in tandem with Andrew Di Giovanna to broaden the reach and impact of OCPA. Warner is focused on developing strategic stakeholder alliances by understanding commercial customers’ most important business needs and economic drivers and determining how OCPA programs can assist in aligning solutions with OCPA’s goals and objectives.
Andrew Marc Di Giovanna, Business Relationship Manager, is engaged in community outreach events to raise awareness about OCPA and renewable energy and to deepen relationships with customers. Coordinating with community leaders, coalition building and building consensus will be a tremendous benefit to OCPA.
