Orange County Power Authority Bolsters Team With Two New Hires
New team members bring additional government, sustainability and climate advocacy experience
IRVINE, Calif. (December 22, 2023) – Orange County Power Authority (OCPA) announced the hiring of two new team members adding to the organization’s roster of experience in local government and community outreach.
“The strengths and capabilities of our new team members advance OCPA’s essential functions within the organization while continuing to support our member cities and enhance our outreach to key customers and community organizations,” said Interim CEO Joe Mosca.
Saul Viramontes joins OCPA as its new management analyst where he’ll be responsible for research, administrative, operations, financial and analytical duties. With a decade of experience at the County of Orange, Saul brings experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing large projects and implementing special programs and initiatives such as a COVID-relief program and community outreach campaigns during the pandemic. His background in customer service, community relations and work in the government sector, as well as his master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in political science will strengthen the growing OCPA team.
Linda Kraemer, an Orange County native, longtime community organizer and environmental advocacy leader, will serve as Community Engagement Manager. She previously consulted on sustainable solutions for corporations, schools, and communities. Linda earned a certificate in Environmental Resource Management from Orange Coast College. She is a member of Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy and Climate Psychology Alliance of North America. Linda also brings deep experience working with underserved communities in her prior work as a mental health counselor.
OCPA serves more than 200,000 residential customers and 31,000 commercial customers who are actively participating in the community energy movement in the cities of Buena Park, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, and Irvine.
