Orange County Power Authority Hires Tiffany Law, CPA as First Chief Financial Officer

Law Brings a Wealth of Financial Experience to California’s Newest Community Choice Energy Provider

Irvine, CA (October 12, 2021) – Orange County Power Authority (OCPA) announced today the hiring of Tiffany Law, CPA as the first Chief Financial Officer for Orange County’s first Community Choice Energy provider. Launching in 2022, OCPA endeavors to provide the choice of renewable energy at competitive rates to everyone in Orange County through local accountability and action.

Law’s focus on driving strategic business growth in addition to her financial acuity and data driven decision-making will be critical assets as we prepare for a successful launch.”

Law brings a wealth of financial and technology experience to the growing Community Choice Energy sector. She served as Central Coast Community Energy’s (CCCE) Chief Financial and Technology Officer and has more than 18 years of experience in the private sector in finance, accounting, and compliance. Her financial acumen and data driven decision-making will be key assets leading up to and during the service launch, which will serve nearly 300,000 customers. 

As a performance-driven professional, Law has overseen critical functional areas of a Community Choice Aggregator (CCA), demonstrating leadership over accounting, auditing, finance, budgeting, treasury, credit rating, payroll, ratemaking, tax, data analytics management, and information technology. She has global experience in driving strategic business growth and maximizing revenue though financial management, including time with the Fortune 500 medical technologies firm (Stryker) and one of the first companies in Hong Kong to be listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotel).

Born in Hong Kong, Law graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a B.S. in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.
